Carly Lynn Brown, 27 of Macomb, passed away, Thursday, January 13, 2022, at OSF Medical Center in Peoria. She was born due to a wishbone wish on October 28, 1994, in Macomb, to Stephen and Anita Creasy Brown.
Surviving to mourn her passing are her mother and father, Stephen and Anita Brown, Bushnell, 1 daughter: Oakleigh Guarin (and her father, Jeremy), Bardolph, 1 sister: Alicia Bithos (Joe Childs), Colchester, 1 brother: Jordan (Kat) James, Macomb, her boyfriend: Josh Sloan, 1 grandpa: Bill Ward (Grove, OK), 5 nephews: Ezra, Elan, Enzo, Onyx, Jonathan and 1 nephew on the way, Baby Harrison James, 1 niece: Ally, BFFs: Sarah, Allie, and Kristyn, a very special little man, Axton, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins who love her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her Grandma Linda Ward, Grandparents Sye and Rachel Creasy, 1 uncle: Ernie Brown, 1 aunt: Janice Mason, 3 cousins: Adam Goodell, Jennifer Gossage, Destiny Agans, and 1 brother in law, Pete Bithos.
Carly attended Bushnell Prairie City Schools where she was a cheerleader for 6 years. She was a member of choir, Spanish Club, and Student Council and participated in the Variety Shows. Carly played the guitar and ukulele and loved to read classic novels. She was an amazing hula hooper and made it look so easy and effortless. Carly worked at the Old Dairy and saw them as extended family.
Carly was a living encyclopedia of all things 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s – those things were her entire world. Any classic rock song on the radio she was trained to name the song title, the name of the band and sometimes even the album or the year it was released. These things were VERY important to her. And movies, especially cult classics - you couldn’t watch one without her curated commentary about how this actor was also in this other film, that stunt was real, or that actor is really actually naked. She and her brother, Jordan, would constantly recite movie lines together. It wasn’t the things that she loved that made her so very special but the WAY that she loved them.
Carly loved her family but most of all, she loved her daughter, Oakleigh.
