Bonnie Jean (Booth) Laird

    Bonnie Jean (Booth) Laird, 91 of Macomb, passed away on December 21, 2022, following a brief stay at the Elms Nursing Home.  She was born on February 25, 1931, to Thomas and Anna Stewart Booth.  She was raised in Colchester, eventually moving to Macomb following her marriage to Robert Laird on December 8, 1950.  They were married for 68 years before his passing on October 10, 2019.  Surviving to mourn her passing are tow sons, Scott (Shirley) of Foley, Alabama and Chuck (Kim) of Macomb, her youngest sister, Betty Haines, her step granddaughter, Becky (Mike) Quesenberry and step great grandson, Talan.  

    Preceding her in death were her parents and siblings, Elizabeth Biswell, Gerald Booth, Bill Booth and Tom Booth.

    Bonnie spent much of her working career in the Voter’s Registration Office at the McDonough County Courthouse where she met many people and developed great friendships.

    Cremation rites have been accorded.  There will be no services.  Burial will take place at Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Colchester.  Memorials may be made in her name to the McDonough County Humane Society.  Jones Mortuary in Colchester is handling arrangements for the family.  Condolences and memories can be expressed to the family at jonesmortuaryfh.com.
