Bob D. Eddington age 84 of Colchester, passed away at 11:58 P.M

Monday, March 31, 2025 at South East Regional Hospice in Burlington, Iowa. He was born January 4, 1941 in Macomb to Harry and Goldie Nell Eddington. Bob was united in marriage to Sandra Wayland on January 4, 1979 in Macomb, IL.

Bob is survived by 4 children. 3 sons: Paul (Crystal) Eddington, Colchester, Hank Larson, Plymouth, Melvin (Chris) Larson, Tennessee, IL, 1 daughter: Gina (Pat) St. John, Colchester, 3 brothers: Bruce Eddington, Plymouth, Bill (Bev) Eddington, Colchester, Chuck (Daisy) Eddington, Bushnell, 1 sister: Sue (Tom) Lusk, Macomb, 5 grandchildren: Shelly Larson, Casey Krump, Joshua St. John, Justin St. John, Ashley Erichsen, 6 great grandchildren, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Bob was a hardworking man, he had many jobs including, working at the McClure Quarry, Wayland Ready Mix, Building Services at WIU, and he was a jailor at the McDonough County Sheriffs Office. He was a member of the NRA as well as the Bethel Baptist Church, he was also a past member of the Macomb Masonic Lodge. Bob served our country, he was enlisted in the United States Missouri National Guard. Bob was an outdoorsman, whether that be hunting, fishing, or mushroom hunting. He loved his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and country music but most of all he loved his wife

Friends may view and sign the register book at the funeral home from 8:30 A.M to 6:00 P.M Sunday. Visitation with the family will be from 4:00 P.M to 6:00 P.M Sunday, April 6, 2025 at the Jones Funeral Chapel in Colchester. Funeral Services will be 1:00 P.M Monday, April 7, 2025 at Jones Funeral Chapel in Colchester, with Gunther Weaver and Tim Fross. Burial will follow the services at Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Colchester.
