Betty E. (Heaton) Kost

     Betty E. Kost age 91 of Carthage, Illinois, formerly of Tennessee, Illinois, passed away Friday, September 30, 2022, at Memorial Hospital in Carthage.  She was born July 12, 1931 in Industry, Illinois, to John and Florence Sharp Heaton.  Betty was united in marriage September 11, 1954, in Colchester, to Warren C. Kost.  He preceded her in death January 2, 2014.  She was also preceded in death by her parents, 1 grandson: Joshua Shelton, 6 sisters: Mable Allen, Leona Henry, Jean Gallagher, Mary Lou Weaver, Dorla Harman, Dorothy Sue Rumsey, and 1 brother: Larry Heaton

     Surviving to mourn her passing are 3 Sons; Harvey Kost Tennessee, Illinois, Bill Kost, Plymouth, Illinois, Charles and Denise Kost, LaHarpe, Illinois,  2 Daughters: Beverly and Keith Frakes, Carthage Illinois, and Debra and Danny Sacry, Stanford, Illinois, 12 Grandchildren, 8 Great Grandchildren, and 1 Great Great Grandchild.

     Betty enjoyed gardening, crocheting.  She helped her husband with the family farm.  Most of all Betty loved taking care and having her family around.

     Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at the Jones Mortuary with Rev. Judy Davenport.  Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery.      Visitation with the family will be 10:00  to 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at the funeral home.  Friends may view and sign the register book at the funeral home from 8:30 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Tuesday then after 8:00 A.M.
