Betty Ellen Guy

Betty Ellen Guy, 95 of Satellite Beach, Florida, passed away Wednesday, March 13. 2019, Holmes Regional Medical Center, Melbourne, Florida. She was born August 2, 1923, in Sciota, Illinois, to Roland and Ruth (Gibbs) Shields. Betty was united in marriage to Harold Dewey Guy on April 26, 1941, in Manchester, Tenn., he preceded her in death on March 24, 2000, after 58 years of marriage.
Surviving to mourn her passing are 2 Sons; Thomas (Claire) Guy, Melbourne, Fl., Steven Guy, Satellite Beach, Florida, 2 Daughters: Judith (Dan) Thompson Mandelsberg, Corpus Christi, Texas, Linda Guy, Satellite Beach, Florida, 3 Grandchildren: Sven (Katie) Guy, Tracy Davis, Amanda (John) Gorena, 3 Great Grandchildren: Morgan Davis, Campbell Davis, Oliver Guy, 2 Brothers: Marlin (Darlene) Shields, Colchester, and Sam (Phyllis) Shields, Colchester
Betty was preceded in death by Her Parents, Husband: Dewey Guy, and 1 Brother: Bill Shields.
Betty was devoted to her family, and loved Florida where she lived for 55 years. She was happy everyday and loved everyone. She was healthy and witty all the way to the very end. Betty was loved dearly by her family and she loved them back. She loved to snuggle with her great grand baby, Oliver as often as she could. He made her so very happy. The family know’s Dewey was there to welcome her home. They know how much she missed him."
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, March 25, 2019, at the Jones Mortuary in Colchester with Rev. Jim Clayton. Burial will follow the services at Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Colchester. Friends may view and sign the register book at the funeral home after 9:00 A.M. Sunday, March 24, 2019. Condolences may be expressed to the family at jonesmortuaryfh.com
