Barry Anderson Obituary

Barry S. Anderson age 75 of rural Colchester, passed away Sunday, May 27, 2018, at the Elms Nursing Home in Macomb. He was born April 4, 1943, in Macomb, to Edwin B. and Margie Lefler Anderson, of which both have preceded him in death. Barry was united in marriage on January 7, 1967, in Cincinnati, Ohio to Roberta Henry.
Surviving to mourn his passing is his wife of 50 years, Roberta Anderson, 1 Son; Mahlon (Matthanawee) Anderson, South Korea, 1 Daughter: Rachel (Todd) Anderson-Sprinkle, Blandinsville, 6 Grandchildren: Wesley Dodds, Morgan Dodds, Azrael Anderson, Malinee Hokkhunthod, Nattawut Hokkhunthod, Reed Sprinkle, and 1 Sister: Marsha Anderson, Colchester.
Barry retired from the Macomb Water Treatment Plant after 35 years. He was a member of the M.M.L.R.A. He had been very active in the Macomb Community Theater. Portrayed Buffalo Bill in several functions around the area including many parades. He was active in area Civil War Reenactments, avid gun collector, past president of the McDonough County Historical Society. Barry never went anywhere that he didn’t meet some one he knew. The greatest love of his was his family.
Graveside services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, June 2, 2018, at Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Colchester with Rev. Jim Clayton. Friends may view and sign the register book at the Jones Mortuary from 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Friday. Memorial is to the McDonough County Animal Shelter.
