Ann Marie Powell

Ann Marie Powell age 85 of Macomb, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at Memorial Hospital in Carthage, Illinois. She was born March 7, 1932 in Colchester, to Sam and Mae Hotten McGrann. Ann was united in marriage to Lindy R. Powell in Macomb on December 30, 1950, he preceded her in death on April 24, 2014. She was also preceded in death by her parents, 1 Son: Lindy Rex Powell Jr. and 1 Brother: Paul McGrann.
Surviving to mourn her passing are 1 Son: David Marshall and Julie Powell, Macomb, 2 Daughters: Rose Marie Powell, Bloomington, Illinois, Natalie Jane and Tom Derry, Mountain View, California, 6 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren, 1 Sister: Rachel Louderman, Colchester, 1 Daughter In Law: Karen Powell Meridian Texas.
Ann was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church, Colchester Area Gathering Place Back Pack Program. She Graduated from Western Illinois University with a Bachelor of Arts in Science and Special Education in 1974. Ann had been a special education teacher in both the Dallas City and Northwestern School Districts. Private Graveside services will be held at Bethel Cemetery with Pastor Jim Richardson. Friends may sign the register book at the Jones Mortuary in Colchester after 9:00 A.M. Sunday.
