Amanda D Switzer

Amanda D. Switzer age 48 of Macomb, passed away Thursday, September 8, 2022, at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.  She was born July 28, 1974 in Macomb to Joe and Delores Wilson Barnes.  Amanda was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart, Tim Switzer, September 8, 2020 in Macomb.

    Surviving to mourn her passing is her husband: Tim Switzer, Macomb, her father: Joe Barnes, Florida, mother: Delores Barnes, Macomb, 4 daughters: Ashley Prather, Macomb, Brittany Renae (Wallace Zimmerman) Prather, Macomb, Heather Jean Ann (Jake) Fitzjarrald, Macomb, Faith ( Michael Peterson) Switzer, 1 son: Zach (Rachelle Thomas) Switzer, Blandinsville, 1 granddaughter: Emma Hay, along with several cousins.

    Amanda was preceded in death by her brother: Josh Barnes, aunt and uncle: Linda and Bob Howard, mother in law: Carol Switzer and cousin: Joe Howard.

    Amanda had worked at Country View Health Care in Macomb, McDonalds, Casey’s and the Macomb Country Club.  She enjoyed fishing, boating, road trips, going out to eat, cookouts, karaoke and cheering her St Louis Cardinals.  Amanda was always ready for a party and she would be the life of the party.  She always put her family first and loved each and everyone of them.

    Cremation rites have been accorded.  Visitation with the family will be 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. Sunday, September 18, 2022, at the Jones Mortuary in Colchester.  Friends may view the pictures and sign the register book at the funeral home after 8:30 A.M.
